Maintenance and Dining Services Operations Transitioning to New Management

The following letter from Executive Director Mark Yantek was sent to residents, families and friends of Regina Health Center outlining some changes coming to better support the Maintenance and Dining Services Departments, and all staff members.

I am writing to make you aware of some changes coming to Regina Health Center.

Beginning October 1, the Brewer-Garrett Co. will assume responsibility for Regina's Maintenance operations. This will involve some new faces and some new ways of accomplishing the essential duties needed to maintain our facility in the high standards we have been accustomed to. What will not change is our commitment to provide you, our residents, with the same high-quality service and environment you have always enjoyed.

Beginning on October 6, Metz Culinary Management will take leadership of our Dining Services operation. While virtually all of the familiar Dietary Department faces will remain in place, there will be tweaks to the menu, new cooking techniques and other enhancements that will result in an even better dining experience for our residents. One important change is the retirement of our current Dining Services Director, John Bush. After nearly 17 years in leadership of the department, John will be missed by residents, family members and co-workers alike. Please join me in congratulating and thanking John for his tireless dedication to our ministry.

It's important to note that both of these new, professional relationships have come about because of our desire to better support the Maintenance Department, the Dining Services Department, and all of our staff. Brewer-Garrett and Metz have proven track records and reputations for excellence. Importantly, they have the resources we need to support our current staff, as well as the ability to recruit additional co-workers to ensure you receive the five-star quality care you deserve and expect.

I am deeply grateful to our Maintenance staff and our current Dining Services employees, who will continue to provide the best of themselves day after day, as they have for so long. And I am deeply grateful to all of you, for your commitment to our shared ministry. Together, we are forging a new path into a future full of hope. Thank you for your openness to these changes, and for your on-going commitment to Regina Health Center.

Sincerely in Christ,

Deacon Mark Yantek
Executive Director
