Why support Regina Health Center?

Since 1993, Regina Health Center has been providing excellence in health care and supportive services in caring for the religious and laity in a God-centered home. Our mission calls us to provide compassionate care to our residents in the winter of their lives. Our challenge lies in the financial gap that must be filled between the cost of providing excellent health care and reimbursements received from Medicaid and Medicare. With recent cuts, the gap is growing larger. Only 62% of the actual cost of care is reimbursed by Medicaid, leaving $118 per day unfunded for each resident as of 2022. Approximately 65% of our residents are served by Medicaid, including all our residents who are members of religious orders. With your support, we can narrow this gap and fund this financial shortfall. RHC has become their safe haven during times of need and we must rely on your support to continue the care they need.

How do I make a donation in honor/memory of someone?

If donating via mail, you can use this downloadable form for cash donations, or simply note it on your check.

If donating online with your credit card, please select Tribute Gift and then “This gift is to remember or honor someone special”.

How do I make a bequest in my will? I'd like to set up a charitable remainder trust or gift annuity.

Please see our Charitable Giving Options brochure, especially the section on page 9, “Gifts by Will or Living Trust,” which will answer many of your questions. To make a bequest to Regina Health Center, you will need to contact your attorney who may be able to draft a simple codicil. The appropriate designation is Regina Health Center, 5232 Broadview Road, Richfield, Ohio 44286.

It is easy to set up a Regina Health Center Charitable Gift annuity. Many individuals who establish charitable gift annuities comment that their annuity payments provide supplemental retirement income for travel expenses to visit family, medical expenses and can even help pay for the cost of a nursing home stay. Charitable gift annuities remain a win-win situation for many. With CD rates and dividend income low, a charitable gift annuity can be a nice alternative. Gift annuities still pay more than 4% and can pay as high as 9% depending on your age. If you are 60 or older, you can establish a Regina Health Center Charitable Gift Annuity (55 or older for a deferred annuity.) Aside from receiving reliable fixed income payments for life, in most cases a portion of your payments will be tax-free. You can also take advantage of an attractive income tax deduction in the year of your gift and potential estate tax savings. You can further your capital gains tax benefits by gifting appreciated securities. Most importantly, you will have the life-long satisfaction of knowing that your gift will ultimately provide funding for the important mission of caring for aging religious and laity at Regina Health Center.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Most gifts of cash are fully income tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law. Please consult with your tax adviser about your particular tax situation.

Can my donation be automatically deducted from my checking account or credit card?

Yes! To do so online, visit the Donate Now page and select “Make this a recurring gift.” It will then ask if you’d like to donate monthly or quarterly and you can pick the 1^st or the 15^th of the month to withdraw your donation. Or you may call the Mission Support and Donor Relations office at 330.659.5142 to set up your recurring gift over the phone.
